Our resident experts, the Payroll Administrators assist their assigned stores with identifying, evaluating and resolving employee payroll issues, including issues within the organization to facilitate communication and improve efficiency of work performance. Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records by performing the following duties:

You will be an OUTSTANDING Payroll Administrator if you love to crunch numbers, compiling all payroll data (hours worked, taxes, tips, employee identification number) from time keeping system and other records. You have an eye for detail and can review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
You sweat the small stuff, auditing store information as compared to Payroll system for accuracy and completeness. You possess the “You Got It” attitude and can resolve payroll-related questions and issues. You serve as a liaison between store management and/or employees. You provide guidance and recommend resolutions, keeping your Supervisor and/or Director apprised of store and employee payroll issues.
You are a people person, communicating with store management as well as other internal departments to ensure correct information relating to payroll is obtained in a timely manner.
You record items that affect net wages, such as deductions, exemptions and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records. You record job data concerning transfer of employees between departments and locations.
You are adaptable and prepare manual check requests for exception or late pay for Pay Card uploads.
An integral part of our New Store Opening boom, you assist in the initial setup and large volume maintenance of employee information for new locations.
You “keep it real” by updating and correcting employee information in Pay Card and Pay Advice systems.
You prorate additional pay and/or expenses to be debited or credited to each department for cost accounting records.
You serve as the gatekeeper, receiving, opening, separating and faxing garnishment orders to 3rd party vendor. You follow up and assist in reconciling faxed garnishments with acknowledgement files.
And finally, because Dave & Buster’s is so focused on Guest service, your job includes the ever-popular “Other Duties as Assigned”.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with PeopleSoft 8 is preferred. Has working knowledge of payroll laws and payroll taxes as they pertain to each state. Ability to manually calculate payroll and taxes. Ability to exercise good judgment in decision making. Strong sense of follow-up and urgency. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Hold self accountable for high personal and professional standards of conduct. Must be teamwork and customer support oriented.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Non typical office environment. We have games in the lobby, a billiard and shuffleboard table in the break room, and we get the whole office together monthly for a “Party on the Patio” to catch up with one another over ice cold “refreshments.” We work hard, we play hard and we have FUN!
