THE JIST:
The R&D Project Coordinator will facilitate the execution and implementation of Food & Beverage R&D programs and initiatives under the direction of the R&D Manager. The position is responsible for assisting with the creation and implementation of all materials and coordinating all activities related to the launch of Core Food & Beverage menu items for national Menu Implementations, Tests and Promotions; maintaining all departmental materials and databases ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date; and providing administrative support to all Food & Beverage R&D team members.

THE ESSENTIALS:
• Assist F&B R&D Project Manager with coordination of all F&B Operations testing and national implementation on all new or improved food & beverages, equipment, promotions and other initiatives
• Maintain details of each national Menu Implementation & Test in the R&D matrix
• Partner with Training to Produce, distribute & maintain Menu Implementations, Tests, Promotions and Contest support materials including Rollout Guides, Recipe Books, COMPEAT recipes, photographs, cheat sheets, training videos, bartender/waitstaff tests Food Quality Indicator books, BOH Garnish/Presentation boards and any other training and operations support materials
• Field store inquiries on Core Food & Beverage menu items during national Menu Implementation training and initial execution, and route to the appropriate department
• Maintain Core Menu, Beverage Menu and Special Events menu recipes, specifications, photographs, and all other departmental documentation to ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate
• Maintain and update COMPEAT recipes for Core Food & Beverage menu items associated with national Menu Implementations and Tests
• Manage and maintain Core Food & Beverage menu item POS keys and KDS system requirements in the POS system for national Menu Implementations and Tests, including requests for new item additions and item deletions
• Execute national Food & Beverage retail pricing increases in the POS system
o Coordinate with Finance on pricing increase specifics
o Collaborate with IT to execute pricing data input into the POS system
o Conduct data input reviews to ensure accuracy of pricing across all menu tiers
• Partner with Marketing to maintain the Food & Beverage pricing matrix reference tool
• Set-up COMPEAT recipes, prep items, recipe books and POS requirements for NSO
• Assist with trouble-shooting KDS system and POS key issues & challenges related to execution & launch of Core Food & Beverage menu items for national Menu Implementations & Tests
• Coordinate Food & Beverage product requirements for Marketing photo shoots
• Create and deliver consumer comment cards for Food & Beverage Tests
• Deploy consumer market research surveys (Concept Sorts) for menu ideations and develop results reports
• Coordinate with Finance on delivery and distribution of monthly P-mix reports
• Manage food, beverage and OS&E product orders for Test Kitchen
• Maintain all aspects of the Food and Beverage R&D page on the D&B Intranet
• Prepare Food & Beverage messaging for the weekly Marketing News Alert
• Collaborate with Marketing on COMPEAT recipe set up for local store marketing promotions involving food
• Assist Food & Beverage team members with administrative duties as needed

CREDENTIALS:
• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; 2–5+ years relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

THE GOODS: (Qualifications - The minimum level of specific skills or abilities one must possess to be considered for this job, such as computer skills, communication skills, leadership ability, analytical ability, etc.)
• Familiarity with restaurant operations practices and procedures, including daily operations of the kitchen, food production, inventory & purchasing and food safety practices preferred.
• Understanding of basic culinary skill sets, terms, concepts and recipe writing preferred
• Extremely detailed oriented with excellent communication, organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to effectively communicate upward and downward within the organization
• Strong working knowledge of full Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat; ability to learn new programs with ease
• Self-starter
